About the Doctor :
A pioneer Director of Hospital Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM), Prof Dr. Khalid has had over 34 years of experience in medicine, specialising in Endocrinology and Internal Medicine. Following his tenure in HUKM Dr. Khalid proceeded to focus on clinical medicine and research where he published more than 270 papers on Endocrinology in international and national journals and medical publications. His research initiatives have also received international attention where he was awarded the National Science Award in 1997 and the Asia Pacific Nutrition Award in 1996. In addition to being a medical practitioner, Prof. Dr. Khalid was also the President of Persatuan Diabetes Malaysia and the Malaysia Endocrine Society. Besides that, he was also a member of the Council of International Diabetes Federation where he represented the Western Pacific Region.

DR. ROHANA ABDUL GHANI

About the Doctor :
Having received her Masters in Internal Medicine in 2005, Dr. Rohana subsequently received her subspecialty training in Endocrinology in HUKM, during which she acquired significant experience in treating various Endocrine problems including diabetes, thyroid, pituitary and adrenal diseases. In 2006 she helped set up the obesity clinic in HUKM to address this growing medical problem. Armed with a strong passion and interest in diabetes and metabolic syndrome, Dr. Rohana regularly participates in multi-centre international trials in diabetes as well as attended many local and international update courses in Endocrinology both as speaker and moderator. In addition, Dr. Rohana has also written extensively on the subject matter in local and international publications and medical journals.

Clinic Hours :
Monday to Friday : 9 am to 6 pm
Saturday : 9 am to 1 pm
Wednesday : 6 pm to 9 pm (1st and 3rd of the month)
