About the Doctor :
Dr. Firdaus Hanapiah graduated from University of Otago, New Zealand in 1990. Upon returning to Malaysia he practiced as a clinical tutor at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry in University Malaya. In 1993, he joined the Eastman Dental Hospital, University College London as a part time honorary senior house officer. In 1996, he coman MSc in Oral Surgery from the Eastman and was also awarded the Fellowship in Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeon, England. He then returned to Malaysia and became a lecturer at the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Faculty of Dentistry, University Malaya. In 2005, he was awarded the Fellowship of the International Congress of Implantologist. He is a member of the International Team for Implantology (ITI). He is also the founder and past president of the Malaysian Oral Implant Association (MOIA). He has since placed thousands of dental implants and a pioneer in the field of virtual surgery in the surgical placement of implants. His interests is in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dental Trauma, Orthonogthic Surgery and Dental Implantology. He has lectured vastly in Europe and Asia on the same subject.
