About the Doctor :
A member of the Malaysian Orthopaedic Association and Academy of Medicine Malaysia, Dr. Siva has over 15 years of experience in the field of medicine with a strong focus in Orthopaedics and Arthroplasty. Having served in Hospital Kuala Lumpur for over six years, Dr. Siva has developed his skills and knowledge in general orthopaedics, traumatology, spine surgery and arthroplasty. A pioneer in hip resurfacing arthroplasty in Malaysia, Dr. Siva also holds a keen interest in the latest techniques for navigational surgery of the hips, knees and shoulders. In addition, Dr. Siva has paved the way for innovations in orthopaedics by spearheading research projects in computer aided surgery, mathematical analysis of the MRI scans of the knees with suspected meniscal injuries as well as a multicentre research study comparing the biomechanical parameters between the Birmingham Hip and ASR resurfacing implants.

About the Doctor :
Dr. Soong brings to Tropicana Medical Centre over 15 years of experience in medicine, specialising in Orthopaedics and Sports Injury Surgery. He was previously attached to Hospital Putrajaya where he headed the Accident & Emergency Department and the Orthopaedic Department. In addition he was also instrumental in the development of the Knee Division in Hospital Putrajaya. Having obtained his Fellowship in Arthroscopy and Arthroplasty Surgery in Monash Medical Center, Australia in 2005, Dr. Soong has since progressed from conventional approach to master navigated arthroplasty procedures to ensure better surgical outcomes for his patients using the latest technologies available, with keen interests in biologics and wound management. Being an all rounder, Dr. Soong also includes niche minimal invasive techniques for degenerative spinal surgeries as part of his portfolio.
